Description

An enslaved person was hired to clean the rooms of select academic buildings at the University of Georgia once a week. If he is unable to complete this task, more servants would be hired to complete the cleaning.
Partial Transcript: "That frequent scouring of the rooms be required of the College servant, and in case he should be incompetent to perform all such duty, that over servants may be employed to perform such service at the expense of the occupants of the room requiring it."
